Johanna Fornberg

Biography

I am interested in biogeography and community ecology. I am excited about how analytical tools can be applied to inform and address complex environmental problems. My current work applies hierarchical statistical and mechanistic models to explore spatial relationships of hosts and parasites in estuaries on the west coast. Before and during my time at UCSB, I have worked with several nonprofits to find solutions to issues in environmental health and local food systems.
